ClubGRANTS

While we focus on supporting all kinds of local sport we always consider what else can we do for our community.Toongabbie Sports is all about providing services and infrastructure for our community and has been delivering these ideals since the communities first bowling greens were established in 1959.

In recent times we regularly provide more than $150,000 per annum to a variety of local charity and sporting organisations that directly assist the broader Toongabbie Community.

While much of this is distributed through the ClubGRANTS program, the club contributes significantly more each and every year in addition to activities within the club itself.

ClubGRANTS is a community development funding program enabling registered clubs with an annual gaming machine revenue exceeding $1 million to apply 1.85% of their gaming machine revenue to specific community development and support projects.

CATEGORY ONE

Category 1 funding applications are centralised and administered by the Parramatta ClubGRANTS Local Committee which is comprised of varying representatives. Generally funding is specifically for local projects and/or services that contribute to the welfare and broader social fabric of the local community and aimed at improving the living standards of low income and disadvantaged people. These projects encompass Community Welfare & Social Services, Community Development, Community Health Services and Employment Assistance Activities.

CATEGORY TWO

Category 2 funding is ordinarily used to support the clubs core purpose, but also the wider community where appropriate. However the clubs Board does assess all requests as not all can be accommodated with so many requests each year. We will also consider in kind donations such as room hire, raffle prizes etc to assist where appropriate.
